MULTI-HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN (MHMP)

AND

COMMUNITY WILDFIRE PROTECTION PLAN (CWPP)

NOTICE TO CONSULTANTS FOR

 

TECHNICAL WRITING SERVICES-FACILITATION

OKANOGAN COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT is soliciting interest from consulting firms with expertise in facilitation and technical writing to draft a FEMA compatible Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan and Community Wildfire Protection Plan for Okanogan County under the guidance of Okanogan County Emergency Management.

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of preparing to FEMA standards and make ready for adoption by the county and cities/towns a Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan update and Community Wildfire Protection Plan update, to include:

 

  1. Facilitate the inclusion of all cities/towns, fire districts, Health District of Okanogan County, Okanogan conservation district and all relevant agencies goal statements.

  2. Organize and facilitate one public meeting in the Methow Valley, one in the Okanogan Valley and one in Coulee Dam.

  3. Gather and review necessary updated County Plans.

  4. Develop necessary press releases.

  5. Organize and facilitate at least two committee meetings.

  6. Coordinate the public review period.

  7. Collect all jurisdiction’s signatures.

  8. Overall ensure plans are practical and achievable.

  9. Desired completion of scope of work by December 31, 2019.

 

 

SUBMITTAL

Submittals must include the following information:

Firm name, phone number and email address; Name of Principal-in-Charge.

  1. Key personnel to perform work;

  2. Firm experience with same or similar projects;

  3. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards;

  4. Past performance/references;

  5. Ability to meet schedule including projected timeline for completion of key steps.

 

Project is funded through HMGP contracts D19-003, D19-004 for the Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan and Title III funds for the Community Wildfire Protection Plan.
